MISSION
What is the Saint Irenaeus Mission Society?
Founded in 1988 with the
blessing of His Grace Bishop Isidore Borecky of
Toronto, the Saint Irenaeus Mission Society is a
brotherhood of Catholic clergy and lay men dedicated to
evangelization according to the spirit of the Byzantine
fathers.
The membership of the society is presently composed of
individuals who are members of four autonomous (sui
juris) Catholic Churches in three countries on two
continents.
The members of the society strive to encourage
evangelization within Eastern Catholic Churches,
particularly those which use the Byzantine Rite. This
website is a major endeavour of the society at the
present time.
